About

My love of working with clay began in my teenage years. I remember clearly the first coil pot I made, a bright blue vase, complete with fish and seaweed twisted around and jutting out from the pot. I felt at home with clay in my hands and that feeling has stayed with me throughout my adult life.

There is something primal about working with clay, the process of shaping and building feels grounding and meditative. When I create a vessel, I’ll usually have something particular in mind, but I allow for this to evolve as I make. I like the fluidity of this, ideas often evolve, and shift and I like that my pots follow a similar process.

I enjoy what others see and feel in response to my work, this process feels important and inspires me. At the heart of my work is a deep love and joy for nature, and harmony and balance are central themes that quite often underpin my ideas.
